A seemingly brilliant collection of SEGA Genesis / MegaDrive retro gaming fun has apparently been terrorizing PS2s and PSPs worldwide. The aptly named ...errr... SEGA Genesis Collection, featuring excellently (allegedly) emulated versions of 28 games spanning every genre that helped define the Genesis, seems to be said PS3 ignoring terror. Monday. Ah, feels like ages ago, but it still is the Monday I lovingly loathe. Having only slept for two minutes during the past 40 hours and having already braved (in a hardly successful manner) a printer and PC breakdown, I really do think the time has come for another ...(drumroll)... Museum Monday! This one is courtesy of a brilliant elfin nymph and is quite different to what's usually posted. Please, do visit digitally distributed environments. An urban museum of sorts.
Right. Apparently I survived academia. At least for now. I also got meself a nice little email showing the way to The Kode and the Bostonian renditions of Super Mario, Legend of Zelda and other retro-gaming inspired music (in the traditional, but glorious and freely downloadable mp3 format). Click and listen, while I try to catch up with the elusive thingy called life...
Monday. Doesn't really make a difference anymore y'know. It all feels, tastes and actually exhausts just like a typical (or garden) Monday. Surely -as at least two mages assured me- things are about to change, and the lovely routine of fine weeks and frightful Mondays will soon happily settle in. Again. Till then, join me in lamenting the spirit of murdered weekends while having a look at a pretty decent e-museum...

Oblivion. The mature version of the Elder Scrolls franchise and the most PC-ish game to ever grace them puny consoles. Also quite a beast of a game, featuring tons of quests, side-quests, faction-quests, vanilla-quests, huge plains, interesting cities, huuuge tracts of land, hundreds of (sort of) intelligent monsters and absolutely no whores. Believe me, loosing focus or just plain dying isn't so improbable. That's why most people would charge you for an Oblivion guide. Not gnomes though....
Or was it dark and stormy? Can't tell really. I'm far too busy right now. Really. That's why I haven't been blogging that much lately, even though Gnome's Lair did manage to produce 31 whole (wholesome too) and mostly gaming related posts all by itself. Magic, I tell you. Possibly of the demonic kind. Oh, by the way, the Lair didn't conjure my rather favorite MMO Gnome article. I did it myself. Apparently the on-line shop too.
