A look from the papers

That's the front page of the widest read Greek newspaper. The title reads "Goodbye Alexis" and right under it, painted on Syntagma square in front of the parliament is what's on everyone's lips: "15 years old dead. 6/12. Cops - Pigs - Murderers". The police on the other hand prefer to show their remorse and prove what a lovable caring lot they are by going for them rather more action-oriented shots:

  1. You think this will be a long battle? -or is there going to be an end to it all at some point soon..?

It sounds to me like this could go on for a long while... I hope some good comes peaking through soon.

  2. Hmmmm... I'd say it will be a long battle, but it will loose some of its initial steam. Might have elections soon, but I'm not sure this will calm things down... After all the revolt is steadily spreading to Europe.

  4. Ποιός ξέρει... Ίσως να συνεπάγονται και αντίστοιχες ή και ακόμα σημαντικότερες αλλαγές αγαπητέ.

    Καυ φυσικά καλησπέρα!

  5. So, have they made any plans with the cops in custody yet..? Or do they say the same stuff as here- "We will be doing a thorough investigation and until then we don't know a thing."

Any big plans for the Holidays..? :/

  6. They will apparently by sent to trial and have already been moved to a jail (outside Athens unfortunately)... The movement is still going strong. More peaceful but I believe stronger.

As for holiday plans, none yet. How about you dear Deitrix?

  7. Aww crap.

"The policeman testified that he fired warning shots in self-defence when a gang of youths threw firebombs at him, court sources said"

Ok so now it's firebombs. First it was rocks.

Such crap. I dunno. I hope this situation gets sorted out and police realize there is accountability.

  9. Lovely pic!

Actually the firebombs allegation has been already dropped. Apparently it was a bottle of water! Even the other pigs have been forced to testify against the murderers. Internal police radio comms have been linked, there's the video and dozens of official eye witness testimonies and -of course- a vast display of unstoppable public outrage. The fuckers will pay. One way or another I'd add...

  10. Yeah, so I'm a little late to post a comment on this, but I've read about it in the papers, and let me just say that I was pleased with the reactions from greek society. People need to revolt against this kind of state-controlled violence.
