Soldat. Like Worms for free.

According to the English version of the rather official Soldat homepage (rumour has it the polish one doesn't differ much in its views), Soldat "is a unique side-view multiplayer action game. It takes the best from games like Liero, Worms, Quake and Counter-Strike and gives you fast action gameplay with tons of blood and flesh. Soldiers fight against each other on 2D battle arenas using a deadly military arsenal".

I, on the other hand, would humbly suggest describing Soldat as a beautiful and freeware clone of the classic Worms game, minus the wonderful cartoon feeling. A clone, to be more precise, with 51 maps, 7 game modes, 18 different weapons and available for a free download by clicking here.
