Skool Daze: The Walkthrough

Ok, the video above (apparently an RZX Archive production) is something you probably won't be using as a walkthrough per se; I'll admit that. On the other hand, it will more than give you an idea of what to expect from Skool Daze, the definitive generation defining ZX Spectrum classic and grandaddy of all freeform a la GTA gameplay. To find out more, you could try actually playing the original game online, reading the relevant World of Spectrum bit or giving the excellent Klass of '99 freeware retro remake a go.

  3. Oh dear, dear, dear... So, I presume the online version didn't work huh? Sure you got Java and all installed?

Then again Father you could try downloading the ROM (well, tape image) from the World of Spectrum link and running it on a Speccy emulator.

  5. Damn! I tried blowing down the back of it, (then kicking and hitting it a bit...)Then wondered if I had got Java installed, then cursed myself, then got drunk and smoked, then hit it again...

Is that a good action plan?

  6. You fixed it Elderly? Wow, impressive. Oh, wait a minute. You didn't...

Brilliant plan Father and cunning like the cunning thing too. Now, why not try using a proper (downloadable) emulator?

  9. You can always try the "Klass of '99" remake. It's almost as good as the real thing. And, unlike the original game, I was able to finish it (though not the way it was supposed to be done).
