Matthew Smith gaming in Full Motion Video

Yes, that was a video featuring Matthew Smith himself and quite a bit of Manic Miner too. Exciting, huh? Well, I'm excited. Very. Anyway. 1. Christ, that trip to the Dutch commune clearly sent him barkers.

  3. Great piece of video Gnome! I'd liken Mr. Smith to the very great Syd Barrett, original front man of Pink Floyd.

After two works of utter genius, yhe pressures obviously got to Matthew, and no doubt he took refuge in serious pharmaceuticals...

He looks deranged! Still I'll pay tribute to the man, those two games are the stuff of legend...

  4. You wouldn't know him funnyman, but in Europe his games (Manic Miner and Jet Set Willy) were bigger than Mario. Way bigger. And better ;)

Hmm... I do think the Syd Barrett analogy is very appropriate indeed dear Father. Apparently though, it does seem (according to Mobygames) that Mr. Smith has worked on quite a lot of games those last 5-6 years.
