Yes, deconstructulator quite a bit, and a Super Mario one at that. Care to find out more? Intrigued already? Then click here. Or read a short description of deconstructulator penned (well, metaphorically of course) by its wise creators themselves:
This is a deconstructed Nintendo emulator that shows how sprites and sprite memory are handled while a game is being played. The intent is to show insight for how software and hardware work, given the relatively simple example of a minimal architecture from an old game console system. Now, click here.

constructing a game with only 64 sprite pieces in memory at one time, insane....
ReplyDeleteQuite, quite. Impressively smart also...
ReplyDeletesmart too ill give them that, like learing to paint the cistine chapel in a straight jacket.....
ReplyDeleteWell, yes... In a way definitely. Climbing up to the ceiling would be quite a problem though....
ReplyDeleteThat is neat. Would have loved it more when I was younger because my dream was to make video games :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed it Tahir... knew your retro sense would dig it :)
ReplyDeletei remember a do it yourself adventure game kit for the PC letting you design your own graphics etc... surely it would be a simple matter to bundle a construction kit along with a 360 game and let you mess about with the graphics, models and sound.....
ReplyDelete(lost in reverie......)
..timesplitters for the xbox had a simple multiplayer map kit, allowed you to desing your own multiplayer level......
ReplyDeleteWell, there's a make your own game kit of sorts for Xbox360, but it's based on C# and doesn't come for free... Besides modding would beat the whole financial point of selling consoles... The hardware's cheap, and companies have to rape players for every cent they 're worth...
ReplyDeleteOh, and I do believe you meant to post these comments someplace else... :)
(looks at comments, looks at posts, looks at blog.... looks at comments......)
ReplyDeletei can't for the life of me figure it out......
