Wash and wait for the Age of Decadence

Age of DecadenceDecadence... a lovely word and a lovelier notion, but, really, a whole age of it? Surely too much to handle even if it's nothing more than a game. Still, a soon to be released CRPG with quite a bit of Fallout (X-Com too) in it and such an intriguing title might just be the RPG indie gaming has been waiting for.

Age of Decadence, you see, apparently an isometric, turn-based, single-player 3D role-playing game set in a low magic, post-apocalyptic fantasy world, seems more than promising, what with its 100 quests, 22 locations and G.R.R. Martin-esque epic storyline. Don't think I can remember other indie games claiming size as a virtue... Anyway, here's a gameplay video and here's AoD's official website. Oh, and do thank Tacticular Cancer for the tip.

  1. You had me at George R.R. Martinesque. I'll have to give this one a shot. Now if only Mr. Martin would hurry up and finish his series, we'd all be happy!

Love your blog. Keep it up!

  2. Wow! Having to endure the whole festive period watching littlest Ginger, Ted poncing about as an orc/elf/dwarf or dare I even say it.. Gnome... on WOW, the latest Gnomic video offering leaves me cold...

I'm all about Sega Soccer World 2000 Euro Edition on Dreamcast at the moment...

Jeez! I've got Sega Rally Revo for the 360 under my telly and I'm playing the Saturn version on my PC for Segata's sake!

I've got retro-itis Gnome! Please help! What's wrong with me???

  3. Thank you oh blendwire and a great blog you got yourself too. Now, to be honest, I fear it will be quite some time before Feast for Crows gets its sequel... Too few characters left methinks ;)

Oh my... WOW... yes, yes, I understand. But still, from what I hear it's better for the kids to play Warcraft than brave Manchester...

Retro-itis you say? Great then... guess we should fuel it till it burns itself... BTW, think you'll drop by after Cyprus?

  4. Hmmm! I'd like to say definitely yes... But if I'm absolutely a 100%honest, I'd probably have to admit to no... After all, we'll probably (nay definitely) have three big ginger fools to pick up after the proceedings...

Come on Gnome! Surely it'd be easier for you to meet us half way there?

What are the geographical limitations over a sneaky meet up in Cyprus prior to the nuptuals?

It'll happen one day believe me... :)

  5. Half way there would be somewhere in the Aegean Sea Father and I'm afraid I've entered more airplanes than I cared these past few months. Just hate flying... Still, we will manage to someday go for a bloody drink. I'm sure. :)
