Monday. But also the 1st of May, thus meaning that the depressive forces of oppression (work, actually) are cowering in fear of the marching workers and spring related allergies. No, this Monday won't frighten us. United we stand, united we update our firewalls and anti-viral software and prepare for a virtual museum stroll. That's what Museum Monday is all about.
Museum Monday #13, to be more precise, is all about the Atari Museum. There you'll find everything Atari related, including the AtariST home computer, the 32bit Atari Falcon, the Atari PCs and 8bit home computers, the Jaguar 64bit and Atari 2600 consoles, the best handheld ever (it's the Lynx silly) and even obscure thingies like the Atari Bionics System. An amazing piece of cyber-museum crafting. Don't miss it. Find it.

Great monday museum (again). The Atari Jaguar section was interesting - I knew about the JagDuo but wasn't aware that there was an actual Jaguar 2 board in existence, complete with working Tom 2 and Jerry 2 processors. Amazing...if you like that sort of thing!
ReplyDeleteI actually love this kind of thing... A Jaguar will be my next buy.
ReplyDeleteAnd, of course, thanks a ton tomleece.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with Tom. Even though its been an awful Monday for me the Meseum Monday is as good as ever.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what Gnome has in store for us next week...
So do I :)
ReplyDeleteI actually owned a Jag while they were still on the 'scene,' as it were. Only Aliens V Predator really impressed though. Here's what to avoid if you do get a Jag though: Crescent Galaxy, Raiden, Club Drive, Chequered Flag...
ReplyDeleteI recommend AVP, Iron Soldier, Doom...and that's about it. Scratch Doom if you've already played it to death (who hasn't?!)
Hmmm...thanks mate... Are you sure though, that Raiden wasn't good? And why give a Jag away?
ReplyDeleteRaiden was a pile of steaming horse manure. Half the screen was taken up by the 'status' bar on the right, so you got a pretty restrictive gameplay window. Also, the graphics are 16-bit at best, it's stupidly hard and when you complete it...it just starts over from the first level. What a great reward for 40 minutes of sweaty gaming. I didn't give the Jag away though - I sold it to a gullable aquaintence for a tidy sum...and bought a Game.com with the proceeds. D'oh!
ReplyDeleteHow dissapointing... Raiden on the arcades was quite teh best!!1!
ReplyDeleteNow, I'm sad. No Jaguar then.
