A Pixelated Snow Tale

Ah, the lovely Neutronized is happily back with another retro-inspired freeware game: Snow Tale. It's a freebie you can play in the comfort of your browser, an embarrassingly cute showcase of the visual delights of quality pixel-art and also a rather smart hybrid of Snow Bros. and Mario-esque platforming. Also, it's impressively varied, lengthy and polished, so, uhm, have a play, will you?

  1. Ah, this is very well done! I love the music. I was playing Cave Story last night, so I'm naturally reminded of the gun that shoots those fireball things because of the way the snowballs move. Unfortunately, I got stuck behind some blue blocks somewhere along level 2.

    1. I must admit I'm rather fond of them Neutronized releases myself... And you are of course correct; it does feel like Cave Story at times. Mind you, it's an absolutely fantastic blog you've got over at Games That Exist.

Maybe I could process them through a copy of Deluxe Paint 2 for the C64?

(hands digital photos to Gnome for his consideration....)
