We've already enjoyed Vampire: The Requiem, Werewolf: The Forsaken, Mage: The Awakening, Something: The Something Else, but now the time has come to rise, raise our left fist and salute Proletariat: The Uprising. It's a vaguely satirical, not particularly funny, yet quite interesting RPG-ish board game. Grab it here. It's free. Obviously.

Free? this is an outrage!!!...
ReplyDeletethe masses don't have to lift so much as a finger to earn this reward... what need have they ever to contribute to the general good if you show them such easily reachable treasures and goodies and whatnots... it'll all end very badly ... mark my words... Do svidaniya Comrade
(salutes Gnome..turns and downloads rpg) Spasibo!!
1km1kt.com which Proletariat: The Uprising is hosted seems to have a collection of some really interesting RPGs. My fave is Doom : Semper Fidelis :)
ReplyDeleteDo svidanya garastas! By the way I do believe you 're right. Happily, the conveniently re-animated Mr Stachanov could help the masses earn their freedom and games.
ReplyDelete(generally salutes and polishes sickle)
Ah yes, Roys!, thanks. An excellent solo RPG and -indeed- quite a brilliant site...
*Polishes statuettte of Lenin, tucks into potatoes from glorious harvest thanks to five year plan, takes a nip of vodka and then searches for news of tractor production in Gdansk...*
ReplyDeleteLovely Molatov imagery there Gnome...
Ah yes... reminded me of an old song urging people to keep their Coca Cola bottles, fill them with oil & phosphor and show them armed ones what resistance means...

ReplyDeleteYou're not a traitorous revisionist, are you?
ReplyDelete..erm... ah... does it involve wearing lipstick?
ReplyDeleteNope. It only involves questioning Lenin's devine wisdom and having weird social-democratic tendencies...
ReplyDelete..oh well in that case... sign me up for mumification....
ReplyDeleteHappily, I've already taken the liberty of doing so... You lucky thing you...
ReplyDeleteSo, two years-ish after I write it you find it, and one year after you find it I find you. Amazing. I'd completely forgotten about Prole, just found it going through my files and decided to search for it online :) I wrote it for the 24-hour RPG contest after reading Dostoyevsky's 'The Possessed' and thought that was pretty much that. Looking at it now, I kinda want to revise the mechanics...
ReplyDeleteI like your description of it!
Ahh, the fickle ways of the webs... Still, that's quite lovely. Cheers, congrats on your work and -please- do let me know if you got anything else you'd like me to post about...
ReplyDeleteVenceremos :)
