A distinct lack of pr0n? Not really, no.

Enter The Accidental Video Game Porn Archive. A monumental archive of absolute silliness. An elegy for recklessly spent hours. A house of amateur, oral, hardcore, bestiality, zombie, cartoon, self and gangbangy sex. Just, do have a (shocking) glimpse before daring to visit this place of sodomy:

Oh no! More Ninja Loving Pirate Fun!

It's been around for quite some time now (a week almost), but being a ridiculously busy gnome I simply failed to let you all know. Now, provided you've asked the proper question, the answer would have to be: Well, that the new and much improved demo of the promising Ninja Loves Pirate indy game has been released. Get it (the demo, not it) here.

Here's a nice NLP gameplay video with tons of lovely pixel art:

Museum Monday #37

Monday. Ah, feels like ages ago, but it still is the Monday I lovingly loathe. Having only slept for two minutes during the past 40 hours and having already braved (in a hardly successful manner) a printer and PC breakdown, I really do think the time has come for another ...(drumroll)... Museum Monday! This one is courtesy of a brilliant elfin nymph and is quite different to what's usually posted. Please, do visit digitally distributed environments. An urban museum of sorts.

Gnome's Lair 2: The Musical

Right. Apparently I survived academia. At least for now. I also got meself a nice little email showing the way to The Kode and the Bostonian renditions of Super Mario, Legend of Zelda and other retro-gaming inspired music (in the traditional, but glorious and freely downloadable mp3 format). Click and listen, while I try to catch up with the elusive thingy called life...

Museum Monday #36

Monday. Doesn't really make a difference anymore y'know. It all feels, tastes and actually exhausts just like a typical (or garden) Monday. Surely -as at least two mages assured me- things are about to change, and the lovely routine of fine weeks and frightful Mondays will soon happily settle in. Again. Till then, join me in lamenting the spirit of murdered weekends while having a look at a pretty decent e-museum...

The Apple II History Museum, a proud member (well, part actually) of the Apple II History website. A great place to find scans surprisingly concerning the rather classy Apple II computer. Lots of scans, really. And photos. And quite a bit on the Apple I. On the Apple II clones too.

Spectrum does Windows 3.1

Seeing is apparently believing. That must have been the exact same thought mcleodideafix had before going on and posting the following video on YouTube. A video showing MS Windows 3.1 (I think) running on the humble ZX Spectrum...

Interesting, was it? Hopefully you'll now stop believing everything gnomes tell you. How could you ever believe the puny Zilog Z80 processor would even come close to emulating even a fraction of a 486DX? Pah!

Secret Files: Tunguska Walkthrough and Demo

A post right to the point: Secret Files: Tunguska is a finely produced new point-and-click adventure game. You can get a rather hefty demo dose of it (over 500Mb of inventory managing fun) by clicking here. For a walkthrough try GameBoomers or Yahoo! Games. Here's an interview with the game's designers. 'nuff said.

[UPDATE 28 Nov. 06] Want a patch, an update and a brand new ending added to the game? Good. Click here.

TES IV: Oblivion Hints and Maps

Oblivion. The mature version of the Elder Scrolls franchise and the most PC-ish game to ever grace them puny consoles. Also quite a beast of a game, featuring tons of quests, side-quests, faction-quests, vanilla-quests, huge plains, interesting cities, huuuge tracts of land, hundreds of (sort of) intelligent monsters and absolutely no whores. Believe me, loosing focus or just plain dying isn't so improbable. That's why most people would charge you for an Oblivion guide. Not gnomes though....

We even provide with maps, that will quite obviously help you get around the place. Better use this highly interactive map or this pretty but unclickable one.

For hints on (I believe) every quest there is, general guidance and a ridiculous ammount of information head over at the excellent UHS The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion page. If on the other hand you'd rather read something more ... err... essential, why not have a look at my Oblivion essentials reminded post? It covers performance and gameplay enhancing issues, it does.

It was a dark and shiny October...

Or was it dark and stormy? Can't tell really. I'm far too busy right now. Really. That's why I haven't been blogging that much lately, even though Gnome's Lair did manage to produce 31 whole (wholesome too) and mostly gaming related posts all by itself. Magic, I tell you. Possibly of the demonic kind. Oh, by the way, the Lair didn't conjure my rather favorite MMO Gnome article. I did it myself. Apparently the on-line shop too.

The best the thing could come up with is compiled in the following nifty little list:
